Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Enfield Movers is committed to conducting its business ethically, responsibly and with integrity in all operations. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our business and supply chains. It applies to all employees, agency staff, contractors, directors and suppliers engaged by Enfield Movers.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Enfield Movers has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and child labour. We do not tolerate any practices that exploit individuals or interfere with their fundamental human rights. This stance is embedded in our internal policies and forms a core part of how we select, manage and review our business partners.
All individuals working for or on behalf of Enfield Movers are expected to share and uphold this commitment. Any breach of this policy by employees may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Any breach by suppliers or contractors may result in suspension or termination of our relationship.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Enfield Movers operates in the removals and logistics sector, providing moving and related services to residential and commercial customers. Our supply chains include, but are not limited to, vehicle and equipment providers, packaging material suppliers, facilities and maintenance services, subcontracted labour, and professional advisers.
We recognise that certain parts of the logistics and labour supply chain can be at higher risk of modern slavery. We therefore take particular care when engaging third parties involved in manual handling, transportation and temporary staffing.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We expect all our suppliers and contractors to align with our zero-tolerance position and to comply with all applicable laws relating to modern slavery and human trafficking. As part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing management processes, we:
Carry out due diligence on key suppliers to assess their policies, procedures and track record in relation to labour standards and human rights.
Request confirmation from suppliers that they do not use forced, bonded or involuntary labour, and that they pay workers in accordance with relevant wage legislation.
Reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence from suppliers to verify compliance with our anti-slavery expectations. These audits may include site visits, document reviews and interviews, where appropriate.
Require suppliers to cascade equivalent standards and expectations down their own supply chains.
Where we identify concerns, we will work with the supplier to address them within an agreed timeframe. If material issues remain unresolved, Enfield Movers may terminate the relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
Enfield Movers encourages openness and supports anyone who raises genuine concerns about modern slavery in good faith. We are committed to ensuring that individuals do not suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting a suspicion or concern.
Concerns can be raised through internal management channels, including line managers and senior management. Reports may also be made anonymously where local laws and company procedures permit. All concerns will be treated seriously, investigated promptly and, where necessary, addressed through corrective actions.
We will cooperate with law enforcement and relevant authorities where there is evidence of criminal activity. Employees and suppliers are expected to report any suspected instances of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Enfield Movers or its supply chains without delay.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our employees and key suppliers. Training and guidance are provided to relevant staff, particularly those involved in procurement, contract management and operations, so they can recognise potential indicators of exploitation and know how to respond appropriately.
We promote a culture of vigilance and responsibility, emphasising that everyone has a role in identifying and preventing modern slavery.
Monitoring, Governance and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery sits with the senior management of Enfield Movers. They are accountable for ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures and controls are in place and are operating effectively.
We monitor the effectiveness of our measures through periodic reviews of supplier performance, incident reports, audit findings and feedback from employees and stakeholders. Where we identify gaps or opportunities for improvement, we update our practices accordingly.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains accurate, relevant and aligned with legal requirements and best practice. Any significant changes to our business model, risk profile or regulatory environment will also trigger an interim review.
This statement reflects Enfield Movers ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chains.
